In 1946, RCA introduced the 45 rpm record today. Records didn’t hit the music store shelves until 1949. For anyone that wasn’t around before the CD took over, here’s a You Tube video of a Nat King Cole record being played so you can see and hear what it was like.

As I was taking my trash out tonight I was trying to remember if it was recycling week. (My town only collects recycling once a month.) So today’s stamp is a reminder of the recycling mantra: reduce, recycle, reuse.

World Braille Day
